Walls
this evening I caught myself staring at the space,
of my home
where we first slipped into each other’s skin, abandoned
and deliberate-
deconstructing the wires that frame us,
and leaving them in a tangled heap
on the sweaty floor.
then I blinked,
and saw a taint on the pasty paint,
of a wall
that had once been wet
and was now
stained.
