Moments

Moments

This life of moments
Like water
And waves,
High-crested, some crash and swallow

Fill you up temporarily-
And yet you drown,
For just enough time
To catch your breath again.

Momentum,
Some waves are like schools
Of fish, of thought
Slight in ones, unrelenting together-
You gasp,
Your strokes are strives
To keep pace between breath and breadth

Momentous,
Makes for life,
Where some waves
Are optical,
Headlines from afar,

Loud, announced
Yet they don’t come at all-

Air,
Affording you enough time
To float, to rest, to become your breath

So when there seem many waves ahead

Breathe

For all waves are water,
Starting and ending in a moment

And you can always float
